Mental Burps:
"During her time in the
Colosseum, she was once poisoned by the claws of a creature she fought.
Not wishing to lose a prize fighter, her captors sent a boy to treat her
wound. Seizing the chance, she threatens to kill the boy in exchange for
her freedom.
Her captors only laughed, saying she could
kill as many as she liked, for the boy was only a worthless slave.
Disgusted, she left the boy go but soon fainted from the poison. The boy
treated her nonetheless and nursed her back to health. In these time,
she found out that the boy was mute, which had caused his slave-driver
to sell him to the Colosseum, where slaves barely last 6 months. She
began to have a liking for the silent boy, the only human who hadn't
treated her like a monster.
When the Colosseum fell, she found the boy
huddling in fright among the crumbling ruins. At the sight of her, the
boy rushed forward and embraced her, giving her a surprise. Knowing that
the boy would not survive in the chaos, she took him in and left for
freedom together."
Setting for the story is the Arabic
lands, like in Aladdin, hence the long baggy pants and the curved
slippers. If you think about it, there aren't a lot of mangas set in the
Arabic lands, making it a still fertile ground for originality. n_n
