Mental Burps:
My Paint-Erase-Smudge
combo:
1) Paint at 100% opacity and flow at the general area.
2)Use
eraser at 50% op, 100% fl to blur the edges. Multiple times if
necessary.
3) Smudge (30-50% strength) to further blur the edge
and to add effect.
For the grass and leaves, use step 1 and 2. Then
smudge randomly at 30%, flicking the mouse. After that, choose a smaller
brush radius but at 50% strength to create the blades of grass. Creating
multiple layers of grass would make it better but I was too lazy, I just
made 1 for the base (light green) colour and 1 for the darker green.
Generally, I found out that the smudge tool is
probably the best friend for non-tablet users. Smudging differently can
already give you different results like the grass, dirt and clouds.
